This OM is part of Martin’s “28” series with a herringbone top purfle. Made from solid East Indian rosewood with a solid Sitka spruce top, it also features a solid black ebony fingerboard, and herringbone inlays around the rosette.
This is a classic combination that is highly versatile for many playing styles. Sitka can be played fingerstyle or with a flatpick and can excel at both. It is ideal for flatpickers who don’t require the stiffness of Adirondack, offering more volume and responsiveness from a lighter touch. When combined with rosewood on the back and sides, Sitka is very lush and has a warm, rich low end.
The OM28V sounds exactly like a fine guitar should sound. Flat Pick, Finger Pick, Finger strum and any other method gives you great balance, strong mellow base, clear mids and highs without twang.
This 2011 Martin OM28V is in very good condition. Very small amount of surfaces scratches on the top. The only thing keeping this guitar from being in excellent condition is some surface scratches on the back. Please feel free to call or message me if you need any additional information. #1532417
